Exception Rules
What is an exception rule?
An exception is a rule instructing the system not to moderate (i.e., ban, block, timeout, etc.) on a user that exists in our global security list.
For example, if a user is flagged as a “Spam Bot” and the status of your Channel Moderation Settings for “Spam Bots” is set to “Enabled” and the action is set to “Ban” then we will ban this user.
Creating an exception rule
Exceptions are automatically created if a user is unbanned/untimed from your channel.
You may also create an exception rule within the portal.
If a user is flagged in our system, an automatic appeal is created, if eligible.
