Song Request Overview
Important
Song requests commands are not available while the broadcaster is offline.
Overview
Song requests are a feature commonly used in live streaming, where viewers or participants can request specific songs to be played. Streamers often use song request systems to engage their audience. Streamers have the ability to moderate requests, ensuring they fit within the stream’s guidelines or the streamer’s preferences. Song requests are a fun way to increase audience interaction and personalization during a broadcast.
Legal Disclaimer
By using the song request feature, you agree to the following terms:
Copyright Compliance: All requested songs must comply with copyright laws and platform-specific guidelines. As a streamer or event host, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate licenses or permissions to play requested songs. Unauthorized use of copyrighted music can lead to restrictions, content removal, penalties, or channel bans by platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook, etc.
Content Moderation: Song requests may be subject to moderation. Inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content will not be tolerated, and such requests may be removed without notice. Users submitting such content may also face restrictions, content removal, penalties, or channel bans by platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook, etc.
Playback Restrictions: Not all songs or music platforms may be supported. The streamer or host reserves the right to decline or skip requests based on technical limitations or personal preference.
DMCA Take-downs: Streaming copyrighted music without permission may result in DMCA take-down requests from rights holders. As a streamer or event host, you acknowledge the risks of song requests and agree to take responsibility for any legal or platform-related actions that arise from playing requested music.
By participating in song requests, you agree to these conditions and understand the potential risks involved.
OBS Widget
See Song Request Player (for OBS).
We recommend to use the player in the portal OR the OBS widget, but not both.
Using both may cause playback issues.
We’re currently working to implement restrictions to limit this behavior.
